Özet
Bu çalışmada öğrencilerin fen başarısına etki eden duyuşsal faktörler ile ilişkilerinin modellenmesi ve modellemede yeralan değişkenler açısdından cinsiyet grupları için farklılıklar bulunup bulunmadığı araştırılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın örneklemini 7841 büyüklüğünde olan TIMSS Türkiye verileri oluşturmuştur. Veriler yapısal eşitlik modellemesi (YEM) tekniğini kullanarak analiz edilmiştir. Her iki alt grup için elde edilen LISREL çıktıları, standart değerlerden yola çıkılarak uyum değerleri bakımından karşılaştırılmış ve elde edilen değerlerin uyumlu olduğu görülmüştür. Özyeterlik her iki grupta fen başarısı üzerinde en olumlu etkiye sahiptir.
The purpose of this study is to investigate and to model the factors that are related to students’ science achievement and to investigate the differences and similarities between affective factors of students across gender. This study examined the TIMSS data for Turkish students with the sample size of 7841 through the analysis of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).First, it is designed a model over the factors from student questionnaire affecting student’s science achievement with Structural equation modeling. It was understood that the designed model’s goodness fit index output is good.
