Scar sarcoidosis [Skar sarkoidozu]

Scar sarcoidosis is a rare type of cutaneous sarcoidosis which arises in pre-existing scars, which may occur due to burn injury, surgery, tattoos, vaccine or injection, and is histopathologically characterized by non-caseating granulomatous infiltration. It may be the first manifestation of systemic sarcoidosis. Here, we present the development of sarcoidosis in pre-existing scars following a traffic accident which had occurred seven years ago and the association of early pulmonary involvement in a 34-year-old man.
