Özet
Radyo frekansı ile tanımlama (Radio Frequency Identification - RFID) teknolojisi, günlük hayatımızda özellikle tekstil firmalarında, hastanelerde, depo yönetimlerinde, bitkisel ve hayvansal üretimde, kargo sektöründe, turnike sistemlerinde, perakende sektöründe, dosya transferlerinde, cep telefonu ile ödemelerde, ve birçok farklı sektörde kullanım alanına sahiptir. Hayvancılığın gelişmiş olduğu ülkelerde RFID teknolojisi sıklıkla karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Son yıllarda ülkemiz hayvancılığında da görmüş olduğumuz bu teknolojinin avantajlarını, diğer sistemlerden farkını, çalışma prensibini ve RFID teknolojisinin hayvancılık alanında kullanıldığı güncel gelişmeler bu çalışmada ayrıntıları ile belirtilmiştir. Hayvancılıkta RFID Teknolojisi genellikle hayvanı kayıt altına alma, takip sistemleri, tartım sistemleri için kullanılır. Piyasada en çok kullanılan RFID teknolojisini barındıran ürün elektronik etiket-kulak numaralarıdır. Bu ürünlerin yanısıra fonksiyonel olarak birçok üründe de RFID teknolojisi bulunmaktadır. Daha akıllı, hassas tarım uygulamalarındaki artış da bu teknolojinin kabul edilmesini sağlamıştır. Bu çalışmada RFID teknolojisi ve bu teknoloji hakkındaki güncel makaleler ve ürünler incelenmiş olup, hayvancılık sektörüne ait güncel bilgileri aktarmak ve hayvancılıkta kullanım alanları ile ilgili bilgi verilmesi amaçlanmıştır.
