V ÖZET İZMİR KÖRFEZİ'NDEKİ Diopatra neopolitana, Delle Chiaje, 1841 (Polychaeta, Annelida)'nın POPULASYON YOĞUNLUĞUNUN SAPTANMASI DAĞLI, Ertan Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Su Ürünleri Anabilim Dalı Tez Yöneticisi: Prof. Dr. Zeki Ergen Şubat 1999, 60 sayfa Bu çalışma, İzmir Körfezi'nde dağılım gösteren Diopatra neopoütana 'nın populasyon yoğunluğunu saptamak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla, İzmir Körfezi'nin orta körfez alt bölgesinde, Çilazmak Dalyam ile Degaş Tersanesi arasında kalan bölgeden aylık olarak, kürek ile örnekleme yapılmıştır. Örnekleme sonucunda 1294 birey toplanmış olup, en fazla birey Mart ayında, en az birey ise Temmuz aymda bulunmuştur. Mevsimsel değerlendirmeler sonucunda ise en fazla birey ilkbaharda, en az birey ise sonbaharda bulunmuştur. Her ne kadar D. neopolitana' 'nın eşey hücrelerine tüm yıl boyunca rastlanmışsa da yoğun olarak Nisan ile Ekim aylan arasında bulunmuştur. Beslenmesi omnivor ve detritivör olan bu türün ovipar olarak ürediği tespit edilmiştir. Toplanan 1294 birey arasından en uzun boylusu 38.9 cm, en çok setigerlisi 258, en ağın ise 19.6 gr olarak bulunmuştur. VI ABSTRACT DETERMINATION OF THE POPULATION DENSITY OF Diopatra neopolitana Delle Chiaje, 1841 ( POLYCHAETA-ANNELIDA) IN IZMIR BAY DA?LI, Ertan Msc. in Fishery Faculty Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Zeki Ergen February 1999, 60 pages This study was aimed to determine the population density of Diopatra neopolitana in Izmir Bay. In this aim, a monthly sampling was performed in the area between Çilazmak Lagoon and Degas shipyard in the middle part of Izmir Bay. As result, a total of 1294 individuals of Diopatra neopolitana was collected. The maximun indivudials in March and minimum in July were counted. As for the seasons the maximum density in spring and minimum in fall were determined. Although, sex cells of Diopatra neopolitana were observed in all months, their maximum densities were established between April and October. It was determined that the feeding habit of D. neopolitana is detritivorous and omnivorous, and it was an oviporous species. Among the 1294 specimens collected, it was found that the longest, the maximum chaetiger number and the highest wet weight was 38.9 cm, 258 and 19.6 gr respectively.
