Secondary metabolites of Centaurea depressa bieb. [Centaurea depressa bieb.'i·n sekonder metaboli·tleri·]

In this study, n-hexane, CHCl 3 ve MeOH extracts were prepared from dried and powdered aerial parts of C. depressa Bieb. collected from Denizli, Honaz Mountain, (1032 m). Fractionation and isolation procedures were performed on MeOH extract of the plant by using several chromatographical methods (OCC, TLC). As a result, 2 flavone compounds (apigenin and luteolin) and two flavone glcuronopyranoside (skutellarin and 6-hydroxykaempferol-7-O-ß- D-glucuronopyranoside) were isolated. Structure elucidation of the pure compounds were carried out by using spectroscopic methods ( 1H and 13C NMR). Furthermore a phytosterol (ß-sitosterol-3-O-ß-D- glucopyranoside), a phenylpropanoid glycoside (syringin) and a phenolic acid (chlorogenic acid) were identified by using several TLC techniques and standart compounds. All compounds are reported for the first time on C. depressa in this work.
