Özet
Popüler müzik içerisindeki Heavy Metal ve Extreme Metal Müzik atmosferi ardındaki gizil işleyişin, sürecinin ne olduğu ve nasıl işlediğine yönelik olarak düşünülmüş ve bu minvalde oluşturulmuş bir çalışmadır. Extreme metal müzik türlerinin müzikal yapısının incelenmesi ve ideolojisi konu edilir. Metal müzik sahasının odağında bulunan stereotiplerin arka planı, "ne", "nasıl" ve hatta "niçin" sorularının perspektifinde anlaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Buradan hareketle çalışmanın örnek olayını oluşturan black metal müzik stereotipleri, metodolojinin temellendirilmesine bir tablo çizmektedir. Çalışmanın beslendiği metal müzik yerel scene üyeleri ve farklı müzik türlerinin seslendiricileri tarafından black metal dinamiklerinin, türün epistemik değerlerinin disiplinler arası anlayış ile bir araya getirilerek analiz edilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Metal müziği anlayabilmek, tanımlayabilmek ve derinine inceleyebilmek adına, İzmir black metal müzisyenleri ile gerçekleştirilen yüz yüze görüşmeler heavy metal ve extreme metal müzik temel türlerini oluşturan (black – death metal) vb. gibi alt türlerin barındırdığı bir takım müziksel ve görsel unsur farkları bulunmaktadır. Bu ayrımı ortaya çıkarabilmek için öncelikle heavy metal müziğin tınıyı (sound) meydana getiren bileşenlerini ve "metalci"lerin (metal müzik söyler-izler kitle), tını dışı unsurlarını (görsel tercihleri) aktarmak konuya netlik kazandıracaktır. İzmir yerel scene üyelerinin görüşleri ile Türk müziği müzisyenlerinin stereotipleri konu edilir. Metal kolektivitesi, küresel ve yerel scene üyeleri ile analiz edilmiştir.
This study explores the hidden processes behind the atmosphere of Heavy Metal and Extreme Metal Music in popular music culture, examining how these processes unfold. Examination of the musical structure and ideology of extreme metal music genres. The background of the stereotypes in the focus of the metal music field has been tried to be understood in the perspective of the questions of "what", "how" and even "why". From this point of view, the stereotypes of black metal music, which constitute the case study of the study, draw a picture for the grounding of the methodology. The aim is to analyze the dynamics of black metal and the epistemic values of the genre, combining these with an interdisciplinary approach informed by local scene members and vocalists from various music genres. In order to understand, define and examine metal music in depth, face-to-face interviews were held with Izmir black metal musicians to discuss the basic genres of heavy metal and extreme metal music (black-death metal), etc. There are some differences in musical and visual elements contained in sub-genres such as. To highlight this distinction, an explanation of the components that constitute heavy metal music, including both sound and non-timbre elements (such as visual preferences of 'metalists' - those who perform and enjoy metal music), will clarify the subject. The opinions of Izmir local scene members and the stereotypes of Turkish musicians are discussed. The metal community was analyzed through interactions with members from both the global and local scenes.
