Özet
Bu çalışmada, özellikle endemik türlerin devamlılığı açısından risk oluşturduğu belirtilen sivrisinek balıklarının Türkiye'deki dağılımları, morfolojik ve meristik özellikleri, boy-ağırlık ilişkileri, habitat tercihleri ve üreme özelliklerinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma süresince Türkiye'de toplam 130 farklı lokalite taranmıştır. 39'u göl 28'i akarsu olmak üzere toplam 67 lokalitede G. holbrooki varlığı tespit edilmiştir.
In this study, it was aimed to investigate the distribution in Turkey, morphological and meristic characteristics, length-weight relationships, habitat preferences, and reproductive characteristics of mosquitofish, which are considered as a threat especially for endemic species' persistence. During the study, a total of 130 different stations were investigated in Turkey. G. holbrooki specimens were found in total of 67 stations, including 28 rivers and 39 lakes. Female:male ratio was found as 1: 0,40 in all individuals. The total length ranged from 1.27 to 57.2 mm. The number of dorsal, anal and caudal fin rays were found as 7-8, 8-9, 20-22, respectively. Ten different morphometric features were investigated according to stations. Length-weight relationships of females and males were found as W=0.0101 L3.2281, r=0.982 and W=0.01121 L2.9811, r=0.944. Pregnant individuals in different localities were examined and the maximum number of egg and embrio were deterimined as 182.
