Özet
The pancreas of albino rat embryos of 14-21 days are studied and the appearance of the cells constituting the pancreatic islets and their developmental characteristics are investigated by light and electron microscope. It is seen that the alpha cells develop during the embryonal stage; the granuli of the beta cells are of two different types and the primary islets develop from singly situated endocrine cells which are seen among the indifferentiated cells of the primitive pancreas and the secondary islets develop from the canaliculi.
