Different commercial yeast species (Saccharomyces cerevisiae = intesacc, intewall, active dry yeast (instant), baskısız kıl yeast, and liquid yeast) were used as feed to culture L-type Rotifers (Brachionus plicatilis). The effects on the growth of obtained rotifer biomass, total fat, and protein values were evaluated. The study was conducted in cylindrical conical tanks at a temperature of 26°C, maintaining a constant oxygen value of 19 ppm. Rotifers were fed equal amounts of food based on unit rotifer count. According to the results of the study, a regular increase in the number of individuals of rotifers was observed by starting 210±4 rotifers ml?1 in active dry yeast, and than 337±5 rotifer ml?1 reached at 5. day. This group showed a growth rate of 60.48% as a continuous positive increase. The lipid ratio was found to be 5.48±0.20% in active dry yeast, 9.97±0.33% in intesacc product and 9.28±0.40% in baskısız kıl yeast. The highest value in protein ratios was found to be 51.92±0.36% in the intewall group. Rotifer culture in marine hatcheries. Reducing the production costs of Rotifer B. plicatilis in marine hatcheries is considered a key objective in advancing the marine aquaculture industry. As a result, active dry yeast was identified a optimal feed source in terms of nutrition and growth during the rotifer culture. At the same time, it has been concluded that different yeast species such as intesacc, intewall, which have a high fat value, can also be used for enrichment purposes.
