Özet
Üst gastrointestinal endoskopi yapılan 358 çocuk, Helikobakter Pilori (HP) infeksiyonunu araştırmak amacı ile retrospektif olarak değerlendirildi. HP İnfeksiyonu, antral nodülarite, hiperemi, ülser varlığı gibi endoskopik bulgular ve infeksiyona ait histolojik değişiklikler ve seroloji ile yorumlandı. Histolojik olarak 358 hastanın. 143'ünde (%40) HP İnfeksiyonu saptandı. Çalışma grubunda, kronik karın ağrısı nedeni ile endoskopi yapılanlarda (185 hasta), HP gastriti %65 (n=121) oranında bulunurken, kontrol grubundaki 55 çocukta %20 (n = Il) oranında saptandı. HP infeksiyonlu 143 hastanın 105 'inde (%73) endoskopik olarak antral nodülarite vardı. HP gastritine 22 hastada (%15) duodenitis, 32 hastada (%22) özofajit eşlik etmekte idi. Tüm hastaların %9'unda (31 hasta) peptik ülser hastalığı (24 duodenal, 7 gastrik ülser) gözlendi. Bu oran kronik karın ağrısı, kusma, hematemezle başvuran hastalarda %15.8 idi. Duodenal ülserli çocuklarda HP İnfeksiyonu %87 oranında saptanırken gastrik ülserlilerde bu oran %71 bulundu.
A total of 358 children who underwent upper gastrointestinal endoscopy were retrospectively investigated for the presence of Helicobacter pylori (HP) infection. the histological response to HP infection and the presence of antral nodularity and peptic ulcération were noted. HP infection was detected histologically in 143 of 358 (%40) children. Onehundred twenty one (%65) of the 185 children who had chronic abdominal pain and 11 (%20) of the 55 children in control group showed histological gastritis. of those children infected with HP, %73 had antral nodular gastritis. Twentytwo of 143 (%15) HP infected children had duodenitis and in 32 (%22) was present oesophagitis. Thirtyone of 358 children (%9) had peptic ulcer disease. of these, 24 were duodenal and 7 gastric ulcers. of the children with duodenal ulcération %87 and %71 with gastric ulcération were infected with HP.
