Özet
Şiddet, fiziksel ve ruhsal tehlikeler yaratan davranışlardır. Dünya'da her dört kadından biri fiziksel veya seksüel şiddetle karşılaşmaktadır. Gebelik sırasında şiddet, kadın ve çocuk için birçok problemlere neden olmaktadır.Aile içi şiddetin riskleri gebelikte özellikle belirgindir. Gebelikte şiddet, sigara, alkol ve ilaç kullanımında artmaya ve prenatal izlemlerde yetersizliklere neden olmaktadır. Fetüsde, intrauterin gelişme geriliği, düşük doğum ağırlığı ve ölümler görülebilir. Sağlık profesyonelleri tarafından gebe kadın şiddet olasılığına karşı, başka nedenlerden dolayı yaralanma olsa bile rutin araştırmalıdır.
The violence is action which cause physical and mental damages. Around the world at least one in four women has been physical or sexual abuse. The violence during pregnancy causes a lot of problems for women and child. The risks of domestic violence are particularly acute in pregnancy is associatedwith increased rates of drug and alcohol use, smoking and lack of prenatal care, intrauterin growth retardation, fetal mortalite. low birth weight migth also be observed in the fetus. Pregnant women should routinely be screened for the presence of violence by health professionals despite she may present other type of injuries.
