Ultrasonda koroid pleksus kisti saptanan gebelerin sitogenetik analiz değerlendirmesi

Ege üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi hastanesi Genetik laboratuvarında 1 Ocak 1995 -31 Aralık 1998 tarihleri arasında prenatal tanı amacıyla yapılan 922 sitogenetik çalışmanın 50'sinde (%18,44) endikasyonlar arasında koroid pleksus kistleri bulunmaktadır. Bunların 37'sinde (%74) koroid pleksus kistleri tek başına prenatal tanı endikasyonu, 13'ünde (%26) ise diğer fetal anomalilere eşlik etmektedir. İncelenen 50 gebelikte yaş ortalaması 27.6 (17-43 arası) ve gebelik haftası ortalaması 17.6 (14-22) dır. Elli gebelikte yapılan sitogenetik analiz sonucu, 25 fetusta 46,XX, 24 fetusta 46,XY ve 1 fetusta da 47,XY,+18 saptanmıştır. Cinsiyet ile koroid pleksus kist oluşumu arasında anlamlı bir ilişki saptanamamıştır. Trizomi 18 saptanan fetusta ultrasonografide (US), koroid pleksus kistine ek olarak elde tipik fleksion görünümü de saptanmıştır. Kistlerin sayısı ve büyüklükleri ile fetal anomali arasında ilişki bulunamamıştır
Cytogenetic analyses were performed on 922 pregnancies in Ege University Medical School Hospital between the period of 1995-1998. In 50 of these 922 pregnancies (18.44%) fetal choroid plexus cysts (CPC) was detected on ultrasonographic (US) examination. In 37 (74%) fetus choroid plexus cysts was the sole abnormality detected on ultrasound examination while 13 (26%) fetuses had other abnormalities together with CPC. The average age of the pregnant women was 27,6 (range 17-43), the mean gestational week was 17,6 (range 14-22) One fetus was found to have trisomy 18 among 50 fetuses with CPC and 46,XX and 46,XY karyotypes were found in 25 and 24 pregnancies respectively. Trisomic fetus showed typical flexion position in hand as an additional ultrasonographic finding. No correlation was found between the size and number of the cysts and fetal abnormalities
