Özet
Tromboembolizm akut arter tıkanıklıklarının en önemli nedenidir. Nadir olmakla birlikte, üst ekstremitede eksternal kronik travmalar da akut arter tıkanıklıklarına neden olabilirler. Kronik eksternal travma etkenlerinden biri de koltuk değneklerinin hatalı kullanımıdır. Bu makalede 44 yaşında bir erkek hastada hatalı koltuk değneği kullanımına bağlı ortaya çıkan akut arter tıkanıklığı ve tedavisi sunuldu.
Thromboembolism is the most common cause of acute arterial occlusion. Prolonged external compression of the upper extremity may rarely result in acute arterial occlusion. One rare cause of chronic external compression is improper use of axillary crutches. This case report presents a 44-year-old male patient who developed acute arterial occlusion due to improper crutch use.
