Bu türler Mytilus galloprovincialis Lamarck, 1819 (Kara Midye), Modiolus barbatus Linnaeus, 1758 (Kıllı Midye- At Midyesi), Ostrea edulh Linnaeus, 1758(İstiridye), Arca noae Linnaeus, 1758 (Taş midyesi, tırnak veya nuhun gemisi ), Chlamys varia Linnaeus, 1758 ( Alaca Tarak), Pinna nobilis Linnaeus, 1758 ( Pina), Tapes decussatus Linnaeus, 1758 (Akivades), VenusIV verrucosa Linnaeus, 1758 (Kidonya), Venus gallina Linnaeus, 1758 (Cik Cik), Callista chione Linnaeus, 1758 ( Cilalı Kum Midyesi), Dosinia exoleta Linnaeus, 1758 (Artemis), Mactra corallina Linnaeus, 1758 ( Yalancı Akivades), Cerastoderma glaucum Bruguiere, 1789 ( Kardiyum ), Cardium tuberculatum Linnaeus, 1758 ( Kardiyum ), Donax trunculus Linnaeus, 1767 ( Pamucak Midyesi ), Solen marginatus Pennant, 1777 ( Sülünes ), Rapana venosa Valenciennes, 1846 ( Deniz Salyongozu ), Murex trunculus Linnaeus, 1758 ( Madya ) veMiirex brandaris Linnaeus, 1758 ( Şeytan Topuzu ) türleridir.
V ABSTRACT A RESEARCH ABOUT SOME ECONOMICAL SHELLFISH IN TURKEY TEKOGUL, HATİCE PhD Thesis, in Aquaculture Supervisor : Prof. Dr. Atilla ALPBAZ October 1999,... pages This study had been considered to search some shellfish in the seas of Turkey which were consumed as human food. During the study shellfish had been searched primaryly which had been consmed by people in Europe. and which were avaible in our seas, by the literatüre knowledge about this subject and at the end of this it had been observed that 26 species which had commercial importance in foreign countries were avaible in our seas. 19 species of them could be examined during study. These species are Mytilus galloprovincialis Lamarck, 1819 ( Mediterranean mussel), Modiolus barbatus Linnaeus, 1758 (Bearded horse mussel), Ostrea edulis Linnaeus, 1758 ( European flat oysters ), Area noae Linnaeus, 1758 (Noah's ark), Chlamys varia ( Variegated scallop), Pinna nobilis Linnaeus, 1758 ( Noble pen shell), TapesVI decussatus Linnaeus, 1758 (Grooved carpet shell), Venus verrucosa Linnaeus, 1758 (Warty venus), Venus gallina Linnaeus, 1758 ( Striped venus), Callista chione Linnaeus, 1758 (Smooth callista ), Dosinia exoleta Linnaeus, 1758 ( Mature dosinia), Mactra corallina Linnaeus, 1758 (Rayed trough-shell), Cerastoderma glaucum Bruguiere, 1789 ( Olive green cockle), Cardium tuberculatum Linnaeus, 1758 (Tuberculate cockle), Donax trunculus Linnaeus, 1767 ( Truncate donax), Solen marginatus Pennant, 1777 (Grooved razor shell), Rapana venosa Valenciennes, 1846 ( Thomas' rapa whelk), Murex trunculus Linnaeus, 1758 (Purple dye murex ) ve Murex brandaris Linnaeus, 1758 ( Banded murex). In the research different body measures ( Total weight, meat weight, shell weight, body width, lenght, thickness and meat ratio ) belong these species had been examined. In addition meat ratio of these shellfish had been considered and tried to be analyzed economicall. As a result of this evaluation, the most expensive is Warty venus and in order to economical value; Grooved carpet shell, European flat oysters, and the cheapest was Mediterranean mussel.
