Özet
Hemşirelik, kendine özgü alanı ve uygulamaları olan, araştıran, sorgulayan, plan yapan, karar veren ve uygulayan bir meslektir. Hemşireler sağlık alanındaki konumları ve sorumlulukları nedeni ile toplumda çeşitli grupları yönlendirme ile yükümlüdürler. Klinik yönetimi, hasta bireyin bakımı, iletişim ve eğitim aktiviteleri bu yükümlülüklerden bazılarıdır. Görev ve sorumlulukları gereği grupları doğru hedeflere, doğru bir biçimde yönlendirebilmeleri de hemşirelerin liderlik davranışları ile ilişkilidir. Ayrıca, liderlik davranışı gösteren hemşire yürüttüğü hizmetlerde daha verimli ve etkilidir. Yeni bilimsel gelişmeleri takip etmek, hemşirelik bakımındaki yenilikleri uygulamaya geçirmek, hasta/sağlam bireyin değişen gereksinimlerini saptayabilmek ve bunlar doğrultusunda değişimi yaratabilmek adına lider hemşirelere ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Mesleklerin geleceğe taşınmasında liderler ve yöneticiler önemli bir konumdadır. Hemşirelik hizmetlerinin sunumunu çağdaş bir seviyeye getirebilmek için de hemşirelerin iyi birer yönetici ve lider olması gerekmektedir.
Nursing is a profession which has its own unique space and applications, and it is also investigator, questioner, plan maker, enactor and implementer profession. The nurses are responsible from directing various group of society due to their position and responsibilities in health field. Management of patient’s treatment, management of training activities, communication management and management of processes of the clinics are some of the responsibilities of the nurses. Directing the groups to correct targets in an appropriate way is also related with leadership behaviors of the nurses. Additionally, the nurses who exhibit leadership behavior are more effective and efficient in ongoing services. There is a need for nurse leaders to follow the new scientific developments, to implement the innovations in nursing care, to identify the changing needs of patients/healthy individuals and to make changes through these subjects. The leaders and managers are in an essential position for the future of the professions. The nurses have to be good managers and leaders for bringing nursing services presentation to a modern level.
