isteyerek gebeliğini sonlandıran 203 kadının, istemli düşük hakkındaki tutum ve davranışları üzerine tanımlayıcı bir araştırma yapıldı. En sık istemli düşük yaptıranların 20 milyon altında gelir grubunda, ilkokul mezunu ile okur-yazar olmayan, 18 yaş altındaki evlilerde olduğu görüldü." Korunmayanlar" ve "geri çekme yöntemi" kullananların daha çok gebeliklerini operasyonla sonlandırdıkları, operasyon sonrası da daha çok rahim içi araç (RİA) tercih ettikleri anlaşıldı.
The behavior and ideas of 203 women about menstrual regulation (MR) undergoing to abortive curettages have been in¬vestigated. It has been observed that most of this patients belong to the social class with a montiy in come under 20.000.000 TL per family, were either analphabetics or have only an elemantary schools educations. At the other side, it is established this women who don't use any contraceptive or protect herself only in the natural way needs often an abortive curettage. After the curettage intrauterine contraceptive device (IUCD) is preferred by this women.
