Özet
Bu çalışmada, İzmir Ege Üniversitesi Kampüsü içerisinde bulunan toplu kullanımın sağlandığı yürüyüş yolları (ana arterler, fakülte içi yollar, sosyal kullanım alanları çevresi v.b.) nın görme engelli bireyler için yeterliliği analiz edilmekte ve öneriler sunulmaktadır. Araştırmanın ana materyali Ege üniversitesi Kampüsü olup, amacı; bir peyzaj mimarı öğrencisinin/mezununun, eğitim-öğrenim hayatı boyunca tasarladığı/planladığı alanlarda görme engelliler açısından farklı materyalleri nasıl kullanması gerektiğine dair örneklerle; bir projenin nasıl yönlendirilebileceğini ve alanın hedef kullanım kriterlerinin çözümlenmesi ile kullanılan malzemelerin nasıl bağlantılı olduğu detaylandırılarak alan çözümlemesine ışık tutmaktır. Ege üniversitesi gibi köklü bir tarihi olan bir kampüsün içerisinde birçok alanın mevcutta bulunması, alan kullanımlarının irdelenebilmesi açısından önem arz etmektedir. Geçmişten günümüze kullanıcı kriterlerine göre bazı alanların değişimi, alternatif uygulama ve malzemelerin alanın nasıl farklı bir işlevselliğe sahip olabileceği örneklendirilecektir. Bu bağlamda tez içerisinde verilen örnekler ile daha detaylı, sonuca giden ve uzun ömürlü tasarımların yapılması açısından malzemenin ve görme engellilerin alanları işlevsel kullanımının önemi vurgulanacaktır.
In this study, the adequacy of the walking paths (main arteries, roads within the faculty, social usage areas, etc.) located in the Izmir Ege University Campus for public use are analyzed for visually impaired individuals and suggestions are stated. The main material of the research is Ege University Campus. The aim of the research is to clarify the field analysis with examples of how a landscape architect student/graduate should use different materials in the way of visually impaired individuals in the areas he/she has designed/planned throughout his/her education life. Additionally, its aim is to clarify the analysis of space by conveying how a project can be directed and by detailing the relevance of the materials used with the analysis of the target use criteria of the space. The presence of many areas in a campus with a deep-rooted history, such as Ege University, is important in terms of examining the use of space. The change of some areas according to the user criteria from the past to the present and the differentiation of the functionality of the area by alternative applications and materials will be exemplified. In this context, with the examples given in the thesis, the importance of the of the material and the functional usage of the areas by the visually impaired individuals will be emphasized in terms of making more detailed, direct and long-lasting designs.
