Özet

The present study determined ordinary and extraordinary refractive indices of lyotropic nematic discotic mesophase under magnetic field and the effective refractive index of the mesophase were measured based on time, according to which an attempt was made to calculate average tilt angles of the mesophase directors oriented by the field. Therefore, dynamics of orientation of the mesophase under magnetic field were defined graphically. Moreover, changes in textures of the mesophase in the field were studied using polarizing microscopy. (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
