Özet
The viscosity and dielectric properties of kaolinite dispersions were studied in water and water-alcohol mixtures. The dielectric constant decreases with increasing alcohol concentration. The relative apparent viscosity increases to a maximum and then decrease with increasing alcohol concentration. The increase of the viscosity is caused by face-to-edge interaction between the particles at the lower alcohol concentration on the other hand the viscosity decreases again because, the kind of interaction between the particles changes at higher alcohol concentration. The decrease of viscosity is caused by face-to-face interaction.
