Özet
Dünyada ve Türkiye'de bireylerin tüketim alışkanlıkları sağlıklı, güvenilir ve çevre dostu ürünler yönünde değişmektedir. Özellikle, tarımsal üretimde yoğun girdi ve teknoloji kullanımı ile kimyasalların aşırı şekilde kullanımı sonucu güvenilir gıda teminindeki zorluklar, sağlık ve çevreye ilişkin riskler alternatif yöntemlerle üretilmiş gıdaya olan ilgiyi ve talebi artırmaktadır. Bu alternatif tarımsal üretim yöntemlerinden en önemlileri organik tarım ile iyi tarım uygulamalarıdır. Son yıllarda Genetiği Değiştirilmiş Organizmalara olan tepki dikkate alındığında, genetiği ile oynanmamış ürünler de tüketici açısından önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, üniversite gençliğinin son yıllarda bu denli önemli hale gelen güvenilir ve çevreye duyarlı ürün tercihleri konusundaki geleceğe dönük davranışlarının incelenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında Ege Üniversitesinde farklı fakültelerde eğitim gören 379 öğrenci ile yüz yüze anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Gençlerin organik, genetiği değiştirilmiş organizmalı ürün ve İyi Tarım Uygulamalarına göre üretilmiş ürünelere karşı bilinç düzeyi ve duyarlılıkları araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada, tüketicilerin çevreye duyarlı üretim yöntemi seçimini etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenmesinde Multinomial Lojistik Regresyon Analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Model sonunda, gençlerin çevreci bir ürün için, fazladan para ödemeyi kabul etme oranı arttıkça organik üretim yöntemini tercih etme oranının da arttığı belirlenmiştir.
The consumption patterns of individuals in the world and Turkey change in the direction of healthy, safe and eco-friendly products. In particular, as a result of use of intensive input and teknology and over use of chemical fertilizers in agricultural production, difficulties in supplying safe food, risks related to health and environment increase the interest and demand for food produced by alternative methods. The most important of these alternative agricultural production methods are organic agriculture and good agricultural practices. Considering the reaction to Genetically Modified Organisms's inrecent years, non-genetically engineered products are also important for the consumer. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the future behavior of the university youth regarding the reliable and environmentally sensitive product preferences that have become so important in recent years. Within the scope of the research, a face-to-face questionnaire study was conducted with 379 students who were educated in different faculties at Ege University. The level of awareness and sensitivities of young people towards products of, Genetically Modified Organisms's and Good Agricultural Practices have been investigated. In the study, Multinomial Logistic Regression Analysis was used in determining the factors affecting consumer choice of environmentally sensitive production method. At the end of the model, it was determined that the rate of choosing organic production method increases as the acceptance rate for paying extra money increases for younger people.
